黄恺木刻：80年代童年忧郁的缩影
Sentimental Childhood of 1980s by Woodcut Artist Huang Kai

时光飞逝，童年离我们远去，儿时的环境被社会的变迁渐渐抹去，但是还有一些犄角旮旯仍然保留着些许童年的回忆。这些看着令人舒服的小孩和场景宁静质朴。我的赤子之心，感受大地由衷而出的寻根之旅。这种仿佛是很悠远的儿时梦境已经没有人提及了，但在城市化、成人化生存的语境中看到这些质朴而生动的小孩，总觉得心里顿然澄澈清明。有别于传统的技法，这组套色木刻采用凹版的原理来做木刻：先做黑色再印其他颜色，这样最后呈现出来的感觉就像木板凹印一样；合理地适应主题所追寻的刻板、安静而扁平的历史感。
A boy tries to open a broken umbrella picked up from the bin, a girl gazes at viewers seriously, the street seems to be blew away in a hurricane. Without pretty toys, no piano classes, childhood of 1980s was uncared-for but boring, exiled on dirty HuTong (alleyways, the typical Chinese urban scene where messy illegal advertisement stickers are pasted everywhere). Eventually the childhood memory is demolished with the fast-paced urban development.And reality still unbearable, the artist finds himself stuck between unpromising future and lost childhood memory.
